Automotive Technology
This is a two-year program
that develops knowledge and skills in the automotive technology field. Students will learn basic maintenance
and repair of the systems found in the automobile. Students will use current and
up-to-date test equipment and computerized diagnostic machines. Troubleshooting, diagnoses, and repair
of automotive systems are included in the program. Projects and work orders are
obtained from the community. A
systems approach to automotive repair and maintenance is used. This program has earned national N.A.T.E.F.
certification and leads to articulation into post-secondary programs at New
Hampshire Community Technical College-Laconia in Automotive Technology, and
Central Maine Community College in the courses of Introduction to
Automotive Technology; Brakes; Suspension and Alignment; and Electrical Systems.
